Nancy O'Dell's first position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response to DUI cases in Charleston caused an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. Additionally, she is co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
